IMPROVISED ABSTRACT STRATEGY GAME
Improvised Abstract Strategy Game (IASG) is a rule-optional, player-defined game that frames human interaction as structured improvisation. Two or more participants engage in a series of intentional moves—placing, removing, or manipulating objects within a designated space—without fixed rules, objectives, or win conditions. The meaning and impact of each move emerge in relation to the others, forming an evolving, responsive dynamic. IASG can take the form of a tabletop game, a choreographic exchange, or a social interaction, inviting players to question assumptions about competition, fairness, authorship, and play itself. The game ends when the players decide it does.
IASG is a philosophical lens for examining human interaction.
